Article Abstract:

Cases pertaining to Sunday working, sexual harassment, compensation for disability discrimination and the restriction of proceedings order against a vexatious litigant by the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) are presented. These issue bound to arise under the 2003 Regulations prohibiting discrimination on grounds of religion or religious belief, sexual harassment and racial or disability discrimination.

New anti-discrimination body for France

Article Abstract:

France has passed legislations forming a new anti-discrimination authority. These legislations also address the issues of burden of proof in case of racial discrimination. Overall, the laws bring French Laws in line with European Union's Race directive.

Supreme court review: affirmative action - graduate admissions

Article Abstract:

The Supreme Court in the Grutter v. Bollinger case has ruled that discrimination on the basis of race for admissions to universities was not permissible.
