Article Abstract:
There is strong evidence that accidents can be caused by using mobile phones while driving, although more research is needed to ascertain whether their general use has an effect on health. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents says there have been six deaths on UK roads caused while the driver was using a mobile phone and it would like the use of mobile phones while driving to be banned. The main health worry connected with mobile phones is the absorption of non-ionising radiation into the head of the user which could cause temperature increases and which may cause cells to become cancerous.
