Do share options create shareholder or executive wealth? A UK study

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted which demonstrated that there is a growing utilization of executive stock options in the UK and that this has resulted in large amounts of money that executives can receive even with small increases in stock price. Findings from data gathered from 110 UK annual reports showed that for every change of 10% in stock price, gains in the value of executive option holdings increase between 53% and 75%.
