An accord signed between the Committee of the Sugar Manufacturers (CEFS) and the European Federation of Trade Unions for Food, Agriculture and Tourism (EFFAT) on 7 February 2003 providing guidelines (to come into force from 1 January 2004) relating to corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been described.

Changes to the disability discrimination act

Article Abstract:

The amendments to the 1995 Disability Discrimination Act are discussed. The amendments will bring the United Kingdom legislation into line with the requirements of the European union framework.
