CRE takes legal action against the police

Article Abstract:

The Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) issued notices to fourteen chief constables and heads of police authorities for failure to devise and implement race equality schemes. It was prompted by findings that 90% of the police schemes were bad. Other aspects like recruitment, training and disciplinary procedures also came in for criticism.
