Affectual trust in the workplace

Article Abstract:

An examination of affectual trust in a large Australian workplace is presented. Specifically, an affect-based framework for trust made up of both emotional and cognitive elements is developed. A qualitative study of service-providing employees is then analyzed using the framework. Discusses how the framework can be used to help build trust in the workplace.

The effects of technical and social conditions on workplace trust

Article Abstract:

This study examines the extent to which an organization's technical and social contexts independently affect workplace trust levels. Accordingly, r esults indicate that levels of workplace trust are impacted by occupational composition, differences in industry and human resource management practices.
