Accord on workforce reductions at Opel

Article Abstract:

The consensus arrived at between the management and employee representatives of Opel's German facilities on its restructuring are discussed. The agreement does not contemplate compulsory redundancies or plant closures but 6,500 jobs will go through voluntary redundancy and another 3,000 through outsourcing and early retirement.
