Vietnam is fast emerging as a reliable and valuable supplier wooden furniture to U.S. customers. The increased manufacturing capacity and the finishing capabilities at factories in Vietnam are contributing to the rising exports to the U.S. markets.

Canadian shipments fall 3%

The export of household and bedroom furniture has come down by 3% in 2003 according to Statistics Canada. The critical exports to the U.S. markets are down 10.7%, from C$2.03 billion in 2002 to C$1.82 billion in 2003.
