Article Abstract:

An exhibition at the American Craft Museum in New York, NY, featured a table setting with environmental responsibility in mind. The project was participated by 20 artists, manufacturers and shops. Bamboo was noticeably used due to its availability, air-purifying properties and strength.

A perfect cliffhanger

Italian communist writer Curzio Malaparte built his famous house on an inaccessible cliff on the island of Capri in the late 1930s. A history of the modern style stucco structure and restoration efforts by Malaparte's great nephew, Niccolo Rositani, are discussed.
