Sauder Woodworking, an Archbold, OH-based ready-to-assemble producer, is slated to launch an expansion project that will cost $100 million. The project will set free an additional 1 million sq ft for production, a space that is currently being utilized as a distribution hub. The company will then transfer the distribution activities to a 1.4-million-sq-ft space. Sauder has been granted tentative approval for tax benefits from the state of Ohio, and is expected to receive official approval during a meeting of the Ohio Tax Credit Authority on Sept. 8, 1998.

Collins International of Fair Lawn, NJ, in an effort to enhance its image as a world-class marketer and distributor of furniture products, will participate for the first time at the October 1998 market at High Point, NC. The low-profile company, a supplier to department stores, home centers, furniture shops and other wholesalers, will have a showroom at Cramco Building's second floor. Collins, which reported sales revenues of over $400 million in 1997, is a publicly traded company and is traded at the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
