Residential furniture statistics indicate that the industry is improving according to various performance benchmarks in 1997 compared to 1996. The major trends affecting the industry include a slow-growth pattern which has characterized the industry since 1991-92, the industry's improving market share, which have not regained its 1980s levels and the faster growth of imports compared to domestic shipments.

Midsized companies approach Top 25 status

DeCoro headed the list of the Top 25 furniture companies in the U.S. for the 2002 year. DeCoro headed the list with a 68% rise in sales growth. Other medium-sized companies moved up the list.
