Wilderness Southeast offers vacationers the chanceto participate in a University of South Carolina at Beaufort conservation program to protect loggerhead turtles. Volunteers watch the beaches on Pritchards Island to locate nesting loggerhead turtles, then transfer the eggs to protected areas for hatching.
