Recently china and other tableware used by the transportation industry, especially on passenger railroads, has become very popular as collectibles. China from different railroads has stayed high in value, largely because Amtrak took over almost all rail passenger traffic in 1971.

U.S. coin glass

Article Abstract:

The Central Glass Co of Wheeling, WV, made inexpensive pressed glassware with US coin motifs for a few months in 1891 until it was declared illegal. Though huge quantities of the coin motifs were distributed, many were destroyed, and they are now a rare find for collectors.

American Modern

Article Abstract:

American Modern dinnerware was designed in the 1940's by Russell Wright and mass-produced for the post-war consumer. Collectors sometimes have a difficult time finding quality pieces, as production was low cost. Matching stemware was designed to go with the dinnerware.
