Teresa Edwards and Katrina McClain are members of the USA National Basketball team hoping to capture the gold medal for the women's team in the 1996 summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA. Both are founding members of, and will play for the American Basketball League after the Olympiad.

Sprinter Michael Johnson is one of the US' best bets for the 1996 Olympics. He has garnered acclaim for gaining the highest ranking in the 200 meter and 400 meter races in the same year. He also won the gold in the 4 x 400 meter relay in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
