The exuberance of peonies

Article Abstract:

Peonies are a special type of flower that appear in spring and are widely grown in China. There are different types of peonies such as the semi-double consisting of extra whorls of petals ring the center, double type that appears to be entirely made up of jostling petals, single consisting of a circlet of five to ten overlapping guard petals around a clutch of stamens, and Japanese type, which although similar to a single, has a fluffier center made up of stamenoids.
