Article Abstract:

The Asilomar conference organized by the American Craftmen's Council in June 1957 if fondly remembered for its gathering of the greats in American crafts. The conference brought together artist toiling alone in their workshops in contact with fellow artists.

Article Abstract:

Artists are known to collect different objects in their search for visual inspiration from the artifacts that are products of their culture. Some artists collect porcelain dolls' heads, picture books, boat models and tools.
