Garden potatoes are vulnerable to all manners of insects and diseases, but with close attention these dangers can be kept to a minimum. Delicious varieties of red-, purple-, and yellow-fleshed potatoes are now available to the home grower. Examples of insects and diseases are presented.

Article Abstract:

Grape vines can be damaged by a variety of insects, fungus, mildew and birds. Fungicides and removal of damaged plants can prevent reoccurrences of mildew and black rot. Handpicking will control most insects and paper bags will keep wasps and birds from eating the grapes.
