Lily of the river

Article Abstract:

Cahaba Lily is incomparably beautiful, a six-inch starburst of luminous white atop a bare, three-foot stem that emerges from a shock of erect, dark green, swordlike leaves. The Cahaba lily grows in shallow, free-flowing water, its bulbous roots anchored among layered rocks where the stream fans out and pushes back the tree canopy, allowing the plant to bask in sunshine.

One plant five ways: Designing with Japanese blood grass

Article Abstract:

The fun in gardening comes from combining plants as every plant has its own personality. Five combinations namely Sedum spurium 'Dragon's Blood', Crosomia x 'Citronella which has yellow flowers, Berberis thumbergii 'Rose Glow' which has purple leaves, Cornus controversa 'Variegata', and Euphorbia mellifera are presented.
