It's okra time

Article Abstract:

An overview is presented on how to grow okra. The vegetable plant, better known as Abelmoschus esculentus, is best planted in late Spring or early summer as it enjoys hot, humid weather and, although okra is a drought-tolerant plant, mulch should be added to the soil around it in case of water shortages.

Creole courtyard

Herb and Nan Boydstun live in Louisiana, in an American house influenced heavily by French style. Landscape designer Michael Hopping has designed a walled courtyard in Creole style, combining American and French, old and new, to create a special outdoor room.
