Grow "icebox" watermelons: these super-productive "babies" are small in size but big on flavor!

Icebox watermelons grow between 5-12 lb, three to five per vine. Because they are smaller than standard watermelons, they can be 'chilled' in a freezer prior to consumption. New varieties produce thinner rinds, resulting in more red flesh.
