Character bisque dolls are highly-desired by antique doll collectors and command high prices in the market today. These rare dolls of the first part of the 20th century differ from the normal vacant-faced dolls, and have realistic, expressive and creatively-designed heads and faces.

The antique collections displayed at a Tennessee antique store are described. Collections of antique pieces and historical items from the 19th century include a monolithic, nine-foot-tall wooden bed, a sugar chest and a Civil War musket.
