A porch their way

Article Abstract:

Barbara and Jim Morasso of Matthews, NC has been able to construct a porch as their first do-it-yourself project. To guarantee the durability of the porch, they have used pressure-treated pine. They also used "back-priming" to reduce moisture absorption and rotting of the wood.

Article Abstract:

Most architects normally close-in side porches to obtain more space in home remodeling projects. However, privacy problems can crop up when the lot is too close to its neighbors. A method of adding windows to an enclosed porch without detracting from privacy is presented.
