Nora Pouillon, chef and doyenne of organic cuisine in Washington D.C., received AHS's 2003 Catherine B. Sweeney award for her extraordinary efforts in the field of horticulture. Her commitment to organic produce and practice insists on using only quality ingredients food that are grown organically and harvested seasonally.

The joy of moss

Article Abstract:

A great majority of mosses are denizens of moist, shady woodland settings and some inhibit an immense variety of microclimates. The mosses are a biological indicator of clean air and few species of them survive in polluted environments.
