A passionate collector
Article Abstract:
Geoff Cook is a passionate collector of Highwaymen Art, the name given to artists from Florida who sold brightly colored sea and swampscapes, often hastily drawn and sold along the highway to tourists looking for something to bring home as a memory of Florida. His interest was kindled when he saw a photograph and article on this form of art and presently he owns 300 pieces of highway art and it is not merely the bold colors they use that attract him, but also the rich history behind these artists.
