A small master bath is remodeled to maximize functional space. The bath originally had a linen closet adjacent to a tiny shower stall and a door to a child's room. The linen closet was relocated and the door sealed off to enlarge the shower stall. The total cost was less than $10,000.

Same space, new bath

Article Abstract:

Richard and Denise McMahon take advantage of every inch of space in designing bathrooms. They remodeled the small bathroom of Nancy and Samuel Raskin, giving it the illusion of space through the use of light colors, glass shower doors and mirrors.

Article Abstract:

Architect George Israel's design for a shared master bath is presented. The bath is about 16-by-13 feet with a whirlpool tub in the center that establishes symmetry in the design. Separate areas are designated for husband and wife.
