A community makes room for wildlife

Article Abstract:

Elizabeth Mueller encouraged her neighbors to recreate wildlife habitats by gardening with native plants and avoiding pesticides. Three schools, 85 households and several businesses joined in the effort which culminated in the town being designated a Community Wildlife Habit by the National Wildlife Federation.
