A box for butterflies

Article Abstract:

Gardeners can watch caterpillars grow into lovely butterflies with a specially crafted box. A potted plant inside the box would be a good host for the caterpillar. It will leave the plant and climb onto the walls of the box, where it will complete its metamorphosis into a handsome butterfly.

Paved paradise

Architect Robert Chesnut of Charleston, South Carolina provided a courtyard landscape to make his house appear larger. He employed illusions and brick paving patterns to provide multi-view of the garden from the kitchen, breakfast and dining rooms.

The blue rose

Article Abstract:

Veilchenblau rose, also called blue rose, has less thorns than other varieties and is disease resistant. Since its flowers open singly, different shades can make up a single branch. However, the plant blooms only during spring.
