Article Abstract:

Two home owners, over a long time and doing most of the work by themselves, renovated a house more than 100 years old before moving in. Kitchen cabinets were freshened up with paint and new laminate countertops, a historically correct winding staircase was built into the living room, and wallboard was replaced with vertical board paneling throughout the house.
