The Aranbee Co was one of the American doll companies that sold dolls commemorating the bicentennial of George Washington's birth. Both moderately-priced dolls and more expensive dolls were based on dolls already in production.

US doll companies began marketing Charles Lindbergh dolls in the 1920s to take advantage of the aviator's popularity. The American Character Doll Co dressed an existing model in a flier's outfit. The Regal Doll Manufacturing Co had Lindbergh's head modeled for its doll.
