Article Abstract:
The 19th Bertram/Hatteras Shootout turned out to be a showcase for brand-new motor boats from Bertram and Hatteras, as well as for the newly renovated Abaco Beach Resort. Bill Orthwein's Hatteras 53 named 'The Edge' emerged as the overall winner of the three-day tournament.

The Bertram/Hatteras Shootout has transferred competition site from Walker's Cay to Boat Harbor Marina in Marsch Harbor. Increasing interest and number of competitors made organizers shift to a larger venue.
