Postage stamps in Canada that bear a cancellation from a Klussendorf machine have become popular with collectors. The design of the cancellation is similar to that of previous squared circles. The innovative designs are appealing also.

Nations around the world are producing stamps in honor of Christopher Columbus to celebrate his voyage in 1492. Columbus showed extreme courage and bravery by setting sail for a new world with three fishing-boat size ships.

Portland wins the prize

The St. Lawrence and Atlantic Railway was established in 1853 between Montreal, Canada, and Portland, ME. The railroad line had one mail train and a specially designed cancel, which is described.
