Consumers worry that technological advances make their cameras obsolete in a short span of time. The truth is that camera models are continuously being upgraded but that does not mean older models are obsolete. Older cameras often are just as good or better than their successors.

Many filters on the cheap

Article Abstract:

Both the Cokin and Pro Optic filter systems provide a convenient and economical solution to the problem of the high cost of buying individual filters for each camera lens. Adapter rings allow the filter holders to be used with lenses of various sizes.

When a photographer wishes to use a lens with a larger aperture it is important to consider that alternate filters may be necessary. The cost of getting a whole new set of filters should be considered as well as the price of the new lens.
