Collecting crests and monograms

Article Abstract:

There are many places from which to get crests and monograms. Letterheads as well as furniture, carriage doors, and water marks on stamps and bank notes are good. Also coins, especially Turkish coins with Sultanic monograms, and old books in used book stores are other possible sources.
