A confederate cover to England?

Article Abstract:

A letter bearing a stamp issued by the Confederate States of America reached England without additional postage or postal markings from other countries. The authenticity of the stamp is questioned because mail sent with stamps issued by the confederacy were not recognized.

Gibraltar - British stronghold

Article Abstract:

Great Britain overtook Gibraltar from Spain in 1704 in an effort to gain a defense post. Control of the peninsula is disputed today. Gibraltar issued postage stamps to commemorate tourist sites and the general who defended it in 1782.
