A case of mistaken identity

Article Abstract:

The pterodactyl identified by Bavarian paleontologist Prof. Hermann von Meyer in 1855 was thought to be the 'missing link' referred to by Charles Darwin in his 1859 publication 'On the Origin of Species.' Other fossils have been found but it appears that some have inexplicably vanished.

Gems inside gems

Article Abstract:

Brian Cook is known for his work on precious gems such as the Amphoragems which contain miniature stones inside crystal quartz that are intended for use as pendants or earrings. Cook is also responsible for bringing the distinctive blue-green tourmaline from Paraiba, Brazil, to market.

The sky is falling - and everybody wants a piece of it!

Article Abstract:

A 27-pound meteor fell over Peekskill, NY, and hit the trunk of Michelle Knapp's car in autumn of 1992. The event attracted many pepole including meteorite enthusiasts.
