Volvo marine diesel engines now come with cellular telephones and antennas so that engine troubles can be diagnosed remotely. The cellular telephone can be connected by computers to Volvo Penta's central service center. Technicians can then download the needed diagnostic information which are normally available only to onboard technicians.

Article Abstract:

De-Bug is a device that uses magnetic forces to kill bacteria in diesel fuel. It is installed between the supply line of the fuel tank and the fuel filters. The L1000 model costs $595 and had excellent results when tested on a Carver 36 with twin Volvo TAMD60s.

Article Abstract:

The Walker Airsep reduces oil consumption by recycling crankcase fumes back into a diesel engine. The system is available on engines from Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar and other manufacturers and as an aftermarket kit.
