16th Annual Scale Masters Championships

Article Abstract:

The 16th Annual US Scale Masters Championships held in Columbus, OH, on Sep. 6-10, 1995, attracted 63 model airplane hobbyists from different countries. Among the planes which earned the admiration of the crowd during the competition are a Lockheed T33A model and a F6F-Hellcat model.

23rd annual Visalia Fall Soaring Festival

Article Abstract:

The annual Visalia Fall Soaring Festival is the largest model sailplane competition in North America. The year's competition had over 275 registered entries competing in several events. Events include open class, 2-meter class, gray cup, nostalgia class and junior class.

The Small Step Fly-In flying competition provides assemblers of small model airplanes with a opportunity to showcase their achievements. The competition is open only to model airplanes powered by engines with displacements smaller than .26ci.
