Colorado Rockies' star Larry Kenneth Robert Walker was the first to break baseball legend Jim Rice's 1978 record by hitting 409 bases. That National League's 1997 Most Valuable Player remains humble despite his popularity and enjoys signing autogrpahs for young fans. Walker played for the Montreal Expos before he joined the Rockies.
