Harold Jaffe's extensive efforts in AIDS research and education have led to various awards. Jaffe's principal work with AIDS started in 1981 with his work at the Centers for Disease Control. He has since become a spokesman for the Center, and is currently deputy director for the HIV/AIDS division.
