Sportscaster Frank Gifford was born Francis Newton Gifford on Aug. 16, 1930 in Santa Monica, CA. He began an illustrious sportscasting in 1965, when he apprenticed with CBS Sports. He was named All Pro in eight of the 12 years he played for the New York Giants.
