The internationally renowned bionanotechnologist, Angela Belcher's discoveries and inventions might lead to the creation of new generation of unprecedentedly small circuit boards and solar cells and lighter, more durable construction materials. Many of her honors include a Presidential Early Career Award for Science and Engineering (2000), a Harvard University Wilson Prize in Chemistry (2001), a World Technology Award (2002), and a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship (2004), which is popularly known as the genius grant.
