Allen Weinstein, US national archivist and historian

Article Abstract:

Allen Weinstein, who spent 22 years of his career as a history professor at three universities, was sworn in as the ninth national archivist of the United States on March 7, 2005. Weinstein has devoted much of his time to the National Archives' presidential library system, in particular, helping to incorporate the Nixon library into it and to the multimillion-dollar Electronic Records Archives project, the aim of which is to preserve millions of digital documents from past and future presidential administrations.
