Alexander Payne

Film director and Screenwriter, Alexander Payne, was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1961 and grew up in Dundee. He is considered to be among the few satirists in American cinema, along with his partner Jim Taylor, who have directed three well-received motion pictures that together have lampooned the high-school scene, elections, Midwestern, middle-class life, and both sides of the abortion-rights issue.
