The rise in asthma

Article Abstract:

The number of asthma sufferers has increased from seven million in 1980 to 10 million in 1990. The number of women afflicted, especially black women, has increased disproportionately. There are new treatments, such as steroids and aerosol anti-inflammatory drugs, that have been proven effective.
