A survey of readers of Glamour magazine indicates that 59% of the respondents believe that abortion is one of the most important issues affecting women. Eighty-four percent of the respondents believe that Pres Clinton should focus on the domestic issues of jobs and the economy.

The US has yet to elect a female head of state. Eight personalities were considered as possible choices for the US presidency. Among them are Elizabeth Dole, Linda Chavez-Thompson, Dianne Feinstein, Christine Whitman, Jeanne Shaheen Claudia Kennedy, Ann Fudge and Oprah Winfrey.

A number of actors are involved in politics in 1999 and some of them are said to be considering running for president. They have useful talents for the post. One actor, Ronald Reagan, did become president.
