Article Abstract:
The World Health Organization decided in 1969 to change their tactic on eradicating malaria to controlling malaria. The epidemiological patterns are complicated and always in flux, which makes malaria control difficult. Of particular concern is the resistance of malaria strains to drug therapy, which makes the malaria control campaign an attempt to stay ahead of drug-resistant strains.
