A United Kingdon National Audit Office report has commended nursing education Project 2000 despite misgivings by nurse managers. Nurse managers have welcomed the new enquiring approach but questioned the standard of practical skills achieved. However, others maintain it is too early to judge the ability of the project's students. The report suggests that insufficient preparation time before implementation may have contributed to the initial problems.

Article Abstract:
The 1990 Access to Health Records Act will help nurses to become better record keepers and should result in fewer misdiagnoses. However, some reservations about the Act include lack of standards on the use of information and the fact that it covers only health notes made after Nov 1 1991.
