Radiology changing as technology booms

Article Abstract:

The usage of new automated radiological techniques is dramatically changing the role of the radiologist. New developments with imaging systems like ultrasound (US), positron emission-tomography (PET), interventional radiology (IR), computed tomography (CT), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and digital radiography (DR) are progressing at a rapid rate. These techniques will also influence hospitals, health care costs and patient comfort.

Stiff drug tests set for 1984 Olympics

Article Abstract:

Amateur athletes will undergo strict drug testing at 1984 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The United States Olympic Committee warns athletes not to take illegal drugs such as anabolic steroids and stimulants; positive test results will disqualify athletes from competing.
