Quality-of-life analysis in the management of endometrial cancer

Article Abstract:

The purpose of the study was to determine whether and how the quality of life of patients with stage I endometrial cancer was influenced by different surgical procedures with or without radiation therapy. The result suggests that nonstaged surgery with or without radiation therapy may be a preferred treatment for stage I endometrial cancer compared with staged surgery from the perspective of patients quality of life.

NovaSure impedance controlled system for endometrial ablation: Three-year follow-up on 107 patients

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to assess the safety, efficacy, and data durability of the NovaSure ablation at three years after the procedure in women with menorrhagia secondary to dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB). Long-term clinical results indicated that the NovaSure system is a safe and effective method of treatment, yielding high amenorrhea and success rates, with low re-treatment rates.

Are the site, diameter, and number of endometrial polyps related with symptomatology?

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to evaluate the relationship among polyp site, number, diameter and symptomatology in endometrial polyps in reproductive and postmenopausal women. The result showed that many endometrial polyps are asymptomatic and multiple in nature, and polyp site, number, and diameter do not correlate with symptomatology.
