Provision or distribution of growth hormone for "Antiaging"

Article Abstract:

The distribution and marketing of human growth hormone (HGH or GH) through Web sites and antiaging clinics has grown into a multimillion-dollar antiaging industry. A nonsystematic viewing of numerous Web sites revealed that the cost of pills and sprays allegedly containing GH is substantial, with both costing the consumer as much as $200 to $300 for what marketers indicate as a month's supply.

Article Abstract:

The article examines the legal and ethical issues surrounding genetic testing and the physician-patient privilege. The authors support the roles of medical personnel in encouraging but not coercing patients to share genetic information with their families.

Third-year medical student's exposure to and attitudes about drug company interactions are measured. Student experiences and attitudes suggest that as a group they are at risk unrecognized influence by marketing efforts.
